Showerthought: Learning to love our sweat will make it easier.

Categories Weight LossPosted on

I always found that I stopped working out prematurely when I started to feel disgusting, sweat condensing around my upper back and coming off my forehead in waves. I think it's important that we all take a moment to remember that this emotion is also part of the low self-esteem bubble for being overweight. If we all had the bodies we wanted, then to be slick with perspiration could be seen downright attractive. But often, the feelings of 'I'm gross, and I'm sure I look gross too' slow our progress – and we have to remember to work out to be the person we WILL BE, not the person we ARE NOW – and that means joyously embracing the exhaustion, the mucusy noses, and the soaked shirts.
